	A restatement of footnote 3's message: "We should not be lulled into disregarding the diagnosis of dissection because of equal and symmetric pulses.... Although pulse deficits are a cardinal feature of aortic dissection, they may be transitory because of decompression of the hematoma in the false lumen, with reentry of blood from the dissection channel into the true lumen, or because of movement of an intimal flap away from an occluded orifice." [101]
