  • A woman with a large osteolytic skull lesion was asked to say "ninety-nine" while her cranium was auscultated with the stethescope diaphragm. At the site of the lesion, the voice sound was clearer and more highly pitched than over the rest of the skull, "somewhat similar to that heard over consolidated lung." [101]
