  • Defines a significant ear lobe crease as one extending over halfway the diagonal length of the lobe. [101]
  • Beckwith-Wiedeman syndrome probably involves excessive levels of insulin-like growtrh factor-2. A correlation has been previously established between coronary artery disease and insulin levels. Could the ear lobe crease be a marker of high levels of insulin or insulin-like molecules? [102]
